If providing Service to your Community and your Nation is of interest to your AA unit (or to you as an At-Large/individual Brother), you need to get involved with the NSPRAA’s High School Outreach.
Our High School outreach program, assists with the development of Citizenship and Leadership in High School youth, by working with the National Society of 
BlackJacks. The BlackJacks provide a school with an existing Junior Reserve Officer Training Course (JROTC) for any of the services, to implement an Honors Society within their Corps of Cadets. The need for help with the Expansion and Maintenance of these High School units, is similar to the need for help with our Undergraduate Brothers.
HOW CAN WE HELP?
Because our Alumni live in likely every state in the union here in the U.S., we are uniquely positioned to assist, either as a part of an AA units efforts, or as an At-Large individual member.
- Grad Units and At-Large membership can identify schools within our operational footprint that have a JROTC unit, and work with the Senior Military Instructor to offer the opportunity to establish a BlackJacks unit at these schools.
- Grad Units and At-Large membership can assist with the maintenance and support of established BlackJacks units. This can be in the form of Grad Unit sponsored Drill Meets, logistical support of BlackJacks units, as well as mentoring and assisting with Instruction.
We are looking for Alumni to volunteer to coordinate BlackJack efforts in their states/footprint. To volunteer, as one of these Ambassador positions, please contact the Outreach-HS Lead.
Specific steps to be taken by Graduates/alumni working to establish a new BlackJack unit:
- Units identify Brothers to coordinate Outreach activities within your unit.
- Individuals identified should contact the Outreach-HS Lead with their information (name, email, phone),
- Identify High Schools within a (you decide the acceptable radius of travel, be it 10 mi., 25 mi., 35mi., etc) radius of individuals.
- Download the briefing materials below. Become familiar with the information.
- Attend the Outreach Ambassador Training (more information TBA at a later date)
- Contact the JROTC Senior Military Instructor(s) and arrange a meeting
- Brief and secure a commitment (this involves PROVIDING a commitment to aid that SMI)
- Assist the SMI with the Application phase
- Monitor and provide support, encouragement, and assistance in the Intermediate Phase.
- Provide encouragement, and assistance to the SMI in the Final Phase, and move into support and maintenance operations with the newly formed BlackJacks unit(s).
